Rivalries make sport what it is, with huge showdowns grabbing the attention of mainstream and sporting audiences alike.
There are some major sporting rivalries throughout the world, including Ohio State/Michigan in College Sports, and Mexico vs. USA on the soccer field.
Aside from action in North America, it could be challenging to argue against the stance that India vs. Pakistan in cricket is the most intense rivalry, as every meeting is layered with deep-seated political history and takes place in front of passionate crowds, adding pressure on the players involved.
