In his third NBA season, Wemby is averaging 31 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 blocks through the first four games. He is shooting 60% from the field on 36% from 3pt-range. Wembanyama's unique blend of massive size, shooting talent, and elusiveness with the ball has made him borderline unguardable, while his interior defense continues to lead the Spurs towards being the best defensive team in the NBA. The Spurs are currently 4-0 with the league's best point differential. Are they title contenders already thanks to Wemby?

From a team standpoint, it's a small sample size right now. However, with regard to his skill set, he is certainly on his way to becoming the future of the league.
