The 2025-26 college basketball season started on Monday, with a large slate of ranked games. In the sole ranked-vs-ranked matchup, the #3 Florida Gators faced off against the #13 Arizona Wildcats. Despite winning the NCAA Tournament last season, the Gators struggled on defense out the gate, allowing Koa Peat and Jaden Bradley to combine for 57 points. They'll aim to tighten the ship as the season heats up, with matchups against #4 UConn and #6 Duke looming in early December.
