NBA fans that have been around since before the 90s remember one the sport's best rivalries taking place during the final decade of the millennium. They met four times in the conference semifinals or conference finals, each winning two times. Reggie Miller and Patrick Ewing clashed in what would become a historic rivalry. Here are the five total times they met in the postseason in the 90s:

1993: Knicks won 3-1 in First Round

1994: Knicks won 4-3 in Conference Finals

1995: Pacers won 4-3 in Conference Semifinals

1998: Pacers won 4-1 in Conference Semifinals

1999: Knicks won 4-2 in Conference Finals

After the 90s concluded, the rivalry wasn't as frequent. However, each time the Knicks returned to relevance, the Pacers were there to stop them. The last three times New York won 50+ games, they met Indiana in the postseason, losing all three series:

2000: Pacers won 4-2 in Conference Finals

2013: Pacers won 4-2 in Conference Semifinals

2024: Pacers won 4-3 in Conference Semifinals

This year, the Knicks once again won 50+ games and once again meet the Pacers in the Conference Finals. They enter as favorites, healthier than last year, with a legitimate chance to get their revenge. On the other hand, Indiana has a deep bench and high pace capable of wearing down New York's limited options. Who do you see winning this edition of the rivalry?

Halliburton’s idiotic choking gesture was not only dumb, but it diminished what Nesmith did on the court.

Crazy game! This rivalry doesn't disappoint. OG missing all those easy clutch shots have to wonder if he's still playing for Indiana 😆

8/9 from 3 and 6 in a row was wild!!

This was the third time Indiana has overcome a deficit of at least 17 points during their postseason run. Team of destiny? Perhaps.
