The UConn Huskies won their first NCAA Women's Tournament since 2016. They had won FOUR consecutive titles leading up to that 9-year drought. The question now is, are the Huskies back? Has South Carolina been dethroned?

It's tough to say this early, but they do appear to be on the right track. UConn is going to lose Paige Bueckers to the WNBA Draft this offseason, though. Over the past couple years, they were the least competitive when Bueckers was out with an injury. On the other hand, Azzi Fudd is set to return. Winning a title should also up UConn's ability to recruit top talent. Let's take a look at the current title odds for 2026:

South Carolina +400

USC +500

UConn +600

Texas +750

UCLA +750

So they're not quite the favorite... yet. Do you see UConn re-establishing itself as a repeat champion in the post-Bueckers era?
