This won't quiet down the "lottery is rigged" claims, with three large market teams winding up at the top. Meanwhile, the worst teams by record (Pelicans and Wizards) will pick outside of the top-4. It's a stacked draft so they should all get someone good, but Nico Harrison definitely seems to be getting bailed out after his questionable trade of Luka Dončić. It was pretty close to being Wemby/Flagg in San Antonio too. That would have been even crazier. What are your thoughts on the draft lottery? Is it rigged? Should it stay?
The lottery has been rigged for how long now? Is this even a question with how everything since the Luka trade panned out? Dallas was nowhere near bad enough to get the #1 pick playing in the Play-In.
@kcoleman Very much agree. I don't hate the lottery as a concept to disincentivize tanking, but it's at worst rigged and at best very poorly optimized. A play-in team has no business getting the #1 pick. And all the recent stuff with Dallas and San Antonio (huge markets) makes it even more suspicious.
