Arsenal are one of the most recognizable club teams in world soccer, meaning it is little surprise that they always take high order in the Champions League betting.

The Gunners will once again be among the leading contenders for this season’s competition after making an excellent start to the European tournament. Mikel Arteta is yet to win a major piece of silverware since getting the Gunners over the line in the FA Cup in 2020.

The pressure is slowly mounting, meaning a Champions League success could eclipse anything that the Gunners may achieve domestically. You can find out all about Arsenal in the Champions League here.

Tournament History

Arsenal made their debut in Europe in September 1963. The Gunners have achieved success on the continent, winning the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1970, and the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1994. Arsenal played in the European Cup for the first time in 1970-71, reaching the quarterfinal stage.

However, qualification to the premier competition wouldn’t be achieved again until the 1991-92 season.

The revamped Champions League gave the Gunners a better opportunity to qualify, and they earned their spot throughout the late 90s and 2000s under the stewardship of Arsene Wenger.

However, their best showing remains their run to the 2005-06 final, before losing to Barcelona. A period in the wilderness followed between 2016 and 2023, before Mikel Arteta guided the Gunners back into the Champions League in successive seasons in 2023-24 and 2024-25.

How Many Champions League Titles Has Arsenal Won?

Arsenal fans have been the fixture of many jokes among English soccer fans, as the Gunners are yet to win a Champions League title.

Their shortcomings in the competition have been further exaggerated since Man United, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest have all won the European Cup. You can find a breakdown of their records in recent Champions League seasons below.
