Fedde Back with Chicago, Fighting for Consistency

Fedde was brought back to Chicago on a one-year deal in the offseason. Through two starts in 2026, the ERA is 4.09, and the walk rate is clean, just two walks in 11 innings. The contact allowed is a concern, though, and Chicago's lineup doesn't give him any margin.

Chicago is hitting .196 with 10 home runs. Munetaka Murakami leads the team with four homers and seven RBI while batting .195. Miguel Vargas has seven RBI. Chase Meidroth leads the team in batting at .244. The White Sox have a badly depleted lineup; Austin Hays, Kyle Teel, and Everson Pereira are all on the injured list, but they beat Kansas City 2-0 yesterday and are 2-3 in their last five.

Bubic Dealing With Command Issues Early

Wacha is in his third season with Kansas City and 13th in the majors. He's been the Royals' most dependable arm the last two years. This year he's been something more than dependable. Two starts, 0.69 ERA. In his last outing he took a no-hitter into the seventh inning against Detroit before it was broken up. Thirteen innings total, six hits, 10 strikeouts.

Kansas City is hitting .228 with 12 home runs. Maikel Garcia leads the team at .315. Carter Jensen has four homers and seven RBI. Jonathan India has eight RBI. The Royals won yesterday 2-0 to even the series after Bubic kept Chicago off the board.

White Sox vs Royals Pick

-194 for a 6-8 team is a hard number. But Wacha just nearly no-hit a team and Chicago hits .196. Their best bats are hurt and Fedde is 0-2. Pay the price.
