Ohtani Returns to Scene of World Series Triumph
Ohtani went 2.87 ERA in 14 starts last year after returning from Tommy John surgery. He threw 47 innings with 62 strikeouts and just nine walks. His strikeout-to-walk ratio was the best of his career. His 2026 pitching debut on April 1 was as dominant. Six shutout innings against Cleveland. Allowed just one hit and three walks. Struck out six on 87 pitches.
Los Angeles is hitting .248 with six home runs through 11 games. Will Smith has two homers and five RBI. Andy Pages is batting .333. Ohtani himself is 2-for-9 against Cease during their AL days. Hit one homer off him.
Cease Looks to Build on Record-Setting Start
Dylan Cease signed a seven-year, $210 million deal with Toronto in December 2025. The 30-year-old went 8-12, 4.55 ERA last year with San Diego but led MLB with 11.52 strikeouts per nine innings. His Blue Jays debut on March 28 made franchise history. Cease struck out 12 batters in 5.1 innings against Oakland. Most ever in a Toronto debut, breaking David Price's 2015 record of 11. He allowed one run on three hits with two walks.
Toronto is hitting .277 with eight home runs. Jesus Sanchez is on fire at .462 with a .692 slugging percentage. Andres Gimenez has five RBI and one homer while hitting .444. George Springer has two homers.
Dodgers vs Blue Jays Pick
You do not have to overthink this pick. The Dodgers have already won the first two matches of the series and have Ohtani on the mound. We expect the Dodgers to complete the sweep on the road
