The action on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule resumes this weekend following a two-week break. All eyes will be on Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, as the Food City 500 is staged. Since 2024, this race has been staged on a concrete surface, with the drivers completing a total distance of 266.5 miles, which is made up of 500 laps.

Kyle Larson will be a red-hot favorite this weekend to win the race for the second straight year. The reigning Cup Series champion has endured a frustrating but consistent start to 2026, finishing in the top ten in four of the last five races. However, he is yet to record a victory this term.

Wins haven’t been in short supply for Tyler Reddick, who leads the Drivers’ Championship at this early stage after winning four of the opening seven rounds. However, his confidence may have been hit after finishing 15^th at the recent Cook Out 400, which marked his worst result this term.

Ryan Blaney shouldn’t be overlooked, having won the Straight Talk Wireless 500 among his five top-ten finishes in 2026. Denny Hamlin will also be confident after winning the Pennzoil 400 and finishing second at the Cook Out 400 last time out.
