The end of the NHL regular season is creeping into sight, and there will be pressure on the Detroit Red Wings to end their losing run when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The hosts will be heavily favored, as the Blue Jackets come into this clash on Tuesday after losing their last six.
The Detroit Red Wings will still have pressure on their shoulders as we edge nearer to the end of the regular season. They come into this clash requiring a win to bounce back to form, and enhance their chances of a playoff finish. Confidence can be gained from their home record, as the Red Wings have gone 20-15-3 at Little Caesars Arena.
However, they were beaten in their most recent home game, as they were edged out 5-4 by the Minnesota Wild. Axel Sandin-Pellikka and Patrick Kane both ended that game with a goal and an assist.

The Columbus Blue Jackets also remain in playoff contention, despite having suffered defeats in each of their last six games.
The Blue Jackets continue to sit fifth in the Metropolitan Division, but they have won just three times in their last ten games. Another low came over the weekend, the Jackets were beaten 2-1 on home ice by the Winnipeg Jets. On the road this season, the Blue Jackets have gone 18-15-4.
