Denver trailed 107-96 with 9:08 left to play in regulation. However, the Nuggets outscored San Antonio 40-27 over the remaining 14 minutes (including the extra frame) while holding the Spurs to just 33 percent shooting during the crucial stretch.

All five starters tallied double-digit scoring totals for Denver. Nikola Jokic spearheaded the balanced attack with 40 points, 13 assists, and eight rebounds. Christian Braun finished with 21 points, along with eight boards and four dimes.

Portland aims for its sixth win in seven games

After suffering a 100-93 loss to Dallas, the Blazers have won their last three games. This includes a 118-106 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans on Apr. 2.

The Blazers trailed 64-60 at halftime before finding their groove after that. In the second half, Portland outscored the Pels 58-41, including a decisive 28-16 margin in the third quarter.

Jrue Holiday had a solid all-around game with 27 points, nine assists, and five rebounds. Deni Avdija contributed 26 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
