Interesting action from the MLS is set for April 4, as the in-form Nashville travel to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Fire.

Fire Aiming to Build on Recent Win
Confidence within Gregg Berhalter’s Chicago Fire should be high ahead of this weekend’s home clash with Nashville. The Fire have recorded wins in two of their last four, and they have suffered just one defeat over the same period. Before the international break they showed their character, battling to a 2-1 road success against the Philadelphia Union.
Hugo Cuypers is beginning to show why the franchise were happy to pay big money for the striker. The Belgian netted in the recent win to take his tally for the season to four goals. However, the Fire will need to improve defensively as the season progresses, having allowed a high average xGA of 1.20 per game.

Nashville Showing Championship Credentials
The 2025 season saw Nashville run out of steam in the closing stages, but they once again look like a major player in the Eastern Conference in 2026. B.J. Callaghan’s team currently sit top of the overall MLS standings, having won four of their opening five fixtures.
Their attacking player has been dazzling, with their five goals in a recent win over Orlando City taking their overall tally for 2026 to 13. Sam Surridge is once again their leading player in the final third, with the striker having already netted an MLS-high seven goals.

Chicago vs. Nashville Picks
The Fire are showing signs of being a competitive force in the Eastern Conference, but their defensive record would be a concern against one of the most dynamic attacking teams. Therefore, the away win is narrowly preferred in the MLS on Saturday.
