Teams at contrasting ends of the Pacific Division will lock horns in the NHL on April 1, as the San Jose Sharks host the Anaheim Ducks.
Despite sitting near the bottom of the division, the Sharks bring the better form into this round after winning each of their last two. Contrastingly, the Ducks have suffered back-to-back defeats in the NHL.
Ryan Warsofsky’s San Jose Sharks remain in the hunt for a playoff place as we enter the final month of the regular season. The Sharks have excelled in home games throughout the season, going 18-12-5 at the SAP Center.
Their confidence is likely to be high after winning their previous two, which includes an excellent recent home win over the St. Louis Blues. San Jose caught the eye offensively in that recent defeat, with both Alex Wennberg and Macklin Celebrini scoring two goals each in the 5-4 win.

The Anaheim Ducks could book their playoff spot in the NHL this week, but a slight question could be posed of their recent form. Anaheim have suffered defeats in their last two, while they have only registered wins in half of their last ten outings.
The Ducks will need to improve defensively as the playoffs approach, as they have allowed eight regulation time goals in their last two. Their most recent defeat was suffered in overtime at the Honda Center against the out-of-form Toronto Maple Leafs.
