The Hornets led by nine points after the first 12 minutes, and that was as close as it would get. Charlotte pushed its advantage to 46 points in the fourth quarter on its way to an easy 44-point win.
Coby White scored a team-high 27 points and grabbed five rebounds. LaMelo Ball added 20 points, eight assists, and six rebounds for a Hornets team that set a franchise record with 26 made 3-pointers.
New York is aiming for its eighth consecutive win
On the other side, New York enters this matchup riding an impressive seven-game win streak. The team's last outing was a 121-116 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
The Knicks raced out to a 14-point lead (42-28) after the first quarter. But New Orleans trimmed the deficit to two points with over four minutes left in regulation.
