The Tampa Bay Lightning are within touching distance of securing their spot in the playoffs, and they face the Seattle Kraken on March 26.
Tampa sit second in the Atlantic Division at this late stage of the regular season, and they were winners in their latest game. Meanwhile, the Seattle Kraken will be hoping to bounce back after suffering defeats in their last four.
The first part of the Tampa Bay Lightning challenge for 2025-26 is nearly complete, as Jon Cooper’s side are close to securing their spot in the post-season.
Tampa bounced back to their best form in their previous game, recording a dominant 6-3 win over the Minnesota Wild. Darren Raddysh was a standout performer in the success, scoring once and registering two assists.
Tampa’s home form has been a notable strength throughout the campaign, as they have gone 20-11-0 at the Benchmark International Arena.
There is likely to be increased pressure on the Seattle Kraken this week, as the team have dropped to fifth in the Pacific Division after losing their last four games.
Meanwhile, they have recorded just two regulation wins over their last ten. Seattle’s losing streak was extended on Tuesday, as they were beaten in a shootout by the Florida Panthers, despite scoring four times to force overtime in the final period. Jordan Eberle once again proved crucial in the offensive areas, ending the night with a goal and an assist.
Lane Lambert’s side will be aiming to end their losing run and get their playoff challenge back on track in Florida.

The poor form shown by the Kraken in recent weeks is a notable concern. Therefore, it is worth siding with the Lightning to record a home win. It is also noteworthy that Tampa have won eight of the nine head-to-head meetings between the teams.
