Bolivia Set Sights on World Cup Return
Bolivia have been a competitive nation in World Cup qualification throughout recent history, but the expanded edition this summer has enhanced their chances of reaching the tournament for the first time since 1994.
The South American nation was competitive in CONMEBOL qualifying, winning six of their 18 matches, which included high profile wins over Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador.
However, their record on the road is a concern ahead of this clash, losing eight of their nine on the road.

Suriname Outsiders to Continue World Cup Dream
Henk ten Cate’s Suriname finished second in Group A of CONCACAF World Cup qualification last year. They landed wins in two of their six matches, and were very challenging to beat after playing out three draws.
Their defensive quality could give them a fighting chance against Bolivia, as the nation allowed just six goals in Group A clashes against Panama, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
However, their six-game unbeaten run was ended in mid-November after losing 3-1 against Guatemala.

Bolivia vs. Suriname Picks
Bolivia’s best results tend to come in home matches at extreme altitudes, often making it hard for opponents to compete. But, due to playing on the road, and Bolivia’s poor record on their travels, a chance could be taken on Suriname to secure a spot in the inter-confederation playoff final.
