Karl-Anthony Towns led seven double-digit scorers with 26 points and 16 rebounds. Jalen Brunson added 23 points and four assists.
New Orleans came up short in its last outing against Cleveland
The Pelicans had won three straight before suffering a 111-106 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.
New Orleans used a 60-42 surge over the middle two quarters to take a 12-point advantage into the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, the Cavaliers outscored the home team 35-18, with James Harden and Donovan Mitchell scoring 13 and 12 points, respectively, during the game-changing stretch.
All five starters reached double figures for the Pelicans. Zion Williamson led the way with 25 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Saddiq Bey added 19 points, five boards, and four dimes.
