Western Conference action in the NHL is scheduled for March 21, as the Nashville Predators bid to continue their fine run of results when they host the Vegas Golden Knights.
Despite sitting third in the Pacific Division, the Golden Knights have seen their form dip in recent weeks. Meanwhile, the Predators will be chasing a third straight win in the NHL on Saturday.
The playoff dream remains alive for Andrew Brunette’s Nashville Predators. They come into this clash sitting fifth in the Central Division, having gone 31-28-9.
Their recent form is also a reason for confidence, as the Preds have gone 4-4-2 across their last ten, which includes victories in each of their previous two. Nashville were very reliable in their latest outing, landing a 3-1 home win over the Seattle Kraken.
Filip Forsberg was in standout form for the franchise, scoring once and recording two assists in the 3-1 home success.
The pressure will be mounting on the Vegas Golden Knights this weekend, as Bruce Cassidy’s side have suffered seven regulation-time defeats in their last ten to drop to third in the Pacific Division.
Vegas remain a leading playoff contender, but their weak defensive record will need to be addressed. The Golden Knights were stunned in their latest outing, conceding three times in the opening period against the Utah Mammoth in a 4-0 loss.
Being on the road could aid their chances this weekend, as Vegas have gone 15-12-7 on their travels.

The Golden Knights have been in rotten recent form, but they have won 60% of their clashes with the Preds. But, the recent form of the Preds makes them the logical betting angle on Saturday.
