The game was tight early on before Minnesota took a 72-58 lead into the break. And in the second half, the Timberwolves extended their advantage to 38 points in the fourth on their way to an easy win.

Ayo Dosunmu led the way with 23 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Julius Randle and Jaden McDaniels added 21 points each.

It wasn't all good news for Minnesota, though, as the team announced that Anthony Edwards will be sidelined for 1 to 2 weeks with right knee inflammation.

Portland looks to extend its win streak to three games

Following a 109-103 loss to Philadelphia, the Trail Blazers have won two straight. Their latest triumph was a 127-119 victory against the Indiana Pacers.

The Trail Blazers never trailed in this contest; however, they did watch a 17-point deficit shrink to three points in the fourth quarter. But thanks to a 3-point basket from Jrue Holiday and two free throws from Deni Avdija, the road team was able to hold on down the stretch.

Avdija was one of four starters in double figures. He guided the offense with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Donovan Clingan also had a double-double, as he finished with 28 points and 13 rebounds.
