Cross-conference rivals collide in the NHL on March 19, as the Boston Bruins host the Winnipeg Jets at TD Garden.
The Bruins have suffered defeats in their last two games, but they remain in a prominent position for a playoff spot. Meanwhile, the Jets lost their last game, and sit sixth in the Central Division.
It has been a reliable season to this point for the Boston Bruins, and they look in good shape ahead of this clash with the Winnipeg Jets.
However, it could be worth noting that they have suffered defeats in each of their last two, which includes an overtime loss against the Montreal Canadiens last time out. Despite that, it is worth noting how reliable the Bruins have been in home games this term, winning 25 of their 35 games.
A victory on Thursday could lift them up to third in the Atlantic Division standings.
The Winnipeg Jets come into this round of games following a 4-3 shootout loss against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.
However, positives can be drawn from their recent performances after winning five of their last ten. Over the same period, they have suffered just two defeats in regulation time. Playing on the road hasn’t exactly suited the team this season, as they have gone 11-15-5.
Meanwhile, they have one of the weakest offensive records in the Central Division after scoring just 191 goals.
