Flyers in Playoff Scrap

The Philadelphia Flyers saw their two-game winning run brought to an end on Saturday, as they were edged out in a shootout against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Philadelphia now sit fifth in the Metropolitan Division, but a victory on Wednesday could see them close up on the top four in the standings. The Flyers will need to improve offensively, as they have scored just 191 goals, which is the lowest tally of the teams sitting in the top six spots.

However, positives can be drawn from their home games, having gone 15-11-8.

Ducks in Reliable Form

It has been an excellent period for the Anaheim Ducks, as they have stylishly moved to the top of the Pacific Division after winning six of their last ten.

They showed excellent character to bounce back from a two-game losing run on Sunday, as they claimed a dramatic 4-3 win on the road against the Montreal Canadiens.

Leo Carlsson produced a stunning display, scoring twice and adding one assist. But, the Ducks have been slightly vulnerable on the road this season, going 14-17-2, meaning that they have recorded eight fewer wins than they have at the Honda Center.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Philadelphia Flyers Picks

The Ducks have been reliable in their games at the Honda Center this season, and that bodes well for their chances on Wednesday. Therefore, the home win looks like the standout selection.
