Timberwolves hope to avoid fifth loss in six games

Following a five-game win streak, Minnesota has dropped four of its last five games. Its latest setback was a 116-103 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Timberwolves held a six-point lead at the break. But the defending champs responded in the second half, outscoring Minnesota 69-50, including a 33-23 edge in the third quarter.

Julius Randle had a solid all-around game, finishing with 32 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Anthony Edwards added 19 points, six rebounds, and five assists.

Phoenix aiming to snap two-game losing streak

On the other side, the Suns had won four straight before dropping a 120-112 decision to the Boston Celtics on Monday night.

In a relatively close game throughout, Phoenix led 111-108 with 4 minutes left in regulation. Unfortunately, the Celtics scored 12 of the game's final 13 points to pull away down the stretch.

Devin Booker torched Boston's defense for 40 points, along with six assists and three rebounds. Jalen Green finished with 21 points and seven rebounds.
