Purdue travels to Evanston to take on Northwestern on Wednesday night. The Boilermakers are in a late-season slump and looking to get back on track.

Purdue has been trying to find their identity during this struggle. They have lost 3 of their last five, including a loss to unranked OSU. The Boilermakers need to change their trajectory going into conference and NCAA tournament play. Can they take the first step versus Northwestern?
Northwestern is 13-16 overall, 5-13 in the Big Ten, and 14th in the conference. They have not been playing like their record as of late. They have won three games in a row, including a buzzer-beater win in their last outing.
Though the tournament aspirations are minimal in Evanston, the Wildcats have been hooping. Nick Martinelli is the engine of the team. He is averaging roughly 23 points and 6 rebounds per game. Can he lead them to the upset.
Purdue vs Northwestern is intriguing. The Boilermakers are on a losing streak, while the Wildcats are on a winning streak. The biggest thing we look at is the quality of both streaks. Though the loss to OSU was tough, it was on the road to a quality side; the rest of their losses were to top-ranked teams.
