Kraken Charging in Playoff Spots

The Seattle Kraken have made a reliable return to NHL action since the break in play for the Winter Olympics.

They come into this round of games after winning back-to-back clashes against the Vancouver Canucks and Carolina Hurricanes, scoring seven goals and conceding just twice.

Their recent win over the Canes was a clear indicator of the quality that they boast. Ben Meyers and Kaapo Kakko scored the goals in the success, while Adam Larsson ended the night with two assists.

Blues Fighting a Losing Battle

It has been a miserable campaign for the St. Louis Blues, as the franchise is fighting a losing battle in their fight for a playoff spot.

The Blues sit bottom of the Central Division, but confidence would have been gained from a win in their latest outing against the Minnesota Wild. That victory was their second in three games, marking a relative improvement since the Winter Olympics.

Offensively, the Blues looked more cohesive against the Wild, with Pavel Buchnevich and Robert Thomas scoring the goals. Both stars also ended the night with assists.

Seattle Kraken vs. St. Louis Blues Picks

Despite a recent win in Minnesota, the Blues have underperformed on the road this season. Therefore, the logical play is for the Kraken to maintain their red-hot run of form with a win at the Climate Pledge Arena.
