All eyes will be on the Western Conference in the NHL on March 2, 2026, as the Colorado Avalanche bid to extend their advantage at the top of the Central Division when they travel to the LA Kings.
The Avalanche bounced back to form with a much-needed win in their previous game, while the Kings should also be confident after a morale-boosting success in their previous outing.

It has been an inconsistent resumption to the NHL season for the LA Kings, reflected by their record over the last ten, which has seen them win just four times.
But, the Kings would have taken confidence after snapping a five-game losing run over the weekend, as they edged to a 2-0 success at home against the Calgary Flames.
Adrian Kempe and Alex Laferriere scored the goals in the win. It was a rare moment of success for D.J. Smith’s team at home, as the Kings have underperformed at the Crypto.com Arena throughout the campaign, going 9-13-7.
The Colorado Avalanche looked back to their best over the weekend, recording a 3-1 home win over the Chicago Blackhawks following a below-par showing at home against the Minnesota Wild.
Defensively, the Avalanche will still need to improve, having allowed five goals since play resumed following the Winter Olympics. Jared Bednar’s side have thrived on their travels this term, winning 17 times away from Colorado.
Nathan MacKinnon has been one of the NHL’s standout stars, scoring a team-high 40 goals and contributing a staggering 97 points.
