Western Michigan Broncos will be looking to put an end to Miami (OH)’s undefeated record when they host them in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The RedHawks come into this game as double-digit favorites, looking to keep rolling as they head toward the end of the season.

Miami (OH) has been enjoying a historic season so far, as they remain the only undefeated team in Division I. They are currently 28–0 overall and 15–0 in the Mid-American Conference. Their status as a top team is growing, as are their March Madness odds, even if their schedule hasn’t been as tough as some of the top-ranked programs in the nation.

They have a well-balanced roster, with their top three scorers ranging from 14.6 PPG to 12.1 PPG. The RedHawks are known for their high three-point percentage and their explosive 91.6 PPG as a team. One area they’ll need to focus on in this matchup is rebounding, as Western Michigan averages slightly more boards per game and could exploit that if Miami (OH) doesn’t stay aggressive on the glass.
Western Michigan has the chance to ruin their rival’s hopes of finishing the season undefeated. Their season hasn’t been great by any means, but they’ll get some attention if they manage to spoil the RedHawks’ goals. They are a mediocre 10–18 overall and 4–11 in the MAC.
They are averaging less in almost every category across the board, except for rebounds. They’ll need to crash the boards hard if they want to maximize that strength against a tough opponent.
Miami (OH) is one of the most interesting stories this season, especially in the March Madness betting odds conversation. They come into this game as heavy favorites at -11.5, with 161.5 on the over/under. The moneyline is -800 for the RedHawks and +550 for the Broncos.
On paper, the RedHawks are the better team, hands down. We feel that, despite being on the road, they’ll manage to cover the spread. We’re taking the Miami (OH) RedHawks -11.5 on the spread.
