Mammoth Targeting Playoff Berth

It has been an excellent second season in the NHL to this point for the Utah Mammoth, and Andre Tourigny’s side is well within touching distance of a playoff berth.

The Mammoth have gone 17-8-2 at Delta Center, but they have slightly underperformed on their travels. Their recent form is rock solid, winning seven of their last ten, which includes victories in their previous two before the mid-season break.

Dylan Guenther leads the team with 25 goals, while Clayton Keller has scored a team-high 54 points.

Avalanche Aiming to Get Back on Track

Jared Bednar’s Colorado Avalanche made a number of NHL records before the Winter Olympics break, including becoming the first team in the competition to lose just twice in regulation in their opening 40 games.

However, their performance levels did drop before the break, losing five in regulation across their last ten. Still, no team in the Western Conference can boast a better offensive or defensive record.

Nathan MacKinnon has been one of the team’s standout stars, scoring 40 goals and registering an impressive 53 assists.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Utah Mammoth Picks

The Avalanche endured some shaky form before the break in play, and this isn’t the easiest clash to get back up to speed in the NHL. The Mammoth have won 40% of their home clashes with the Avalanche, and if at the level they were before the break, they could be the value play at the odds available.
