The Rebels were unable to hold off LSU this week, losing by a single-digit margin. They face an even tougher task on the road this week against #3 South Carolina. In order to avoid dropping their second game in a row, Ole Miss will need leading-scorer and projected top-10 pick Cotie McMahon to continue her dominant play. She is averaging over 25 points per game in the last 8 games, including a 39/10/5 result against Tennessee.

South Carolina's winning streak increased to 7 games this week, as they continue to look like a national champion contender. In their last 3 games they defeated #6 LSU, #19 Tennessee, and #25 Alabama by an average margin of 23 points, with two of those games coming on the road. They return to their home court in Columbia for a fourth ranked matchup in a row against Ole Miss. South Carolina enters as a heavy favorite.
Ole Miss managed to keep things close with #7 LSU on Thursday, proving they can compete with the SEC's top teams. That being said, South Carolina is a tier above and has been blowing out ranked teams, including a road win over LSU. The Rebels may hang around in the first half, but the Gamecocks will win this one easily.
