Vikings no Longer in Playoff Contention
The Vikings were eliminated from playoff contention last week, despite earning a win over the Cowboys. They heated up a bit too late, outscoring their last two opponents 65-26 and winning both games. Prior to that, Minnesota had been outscored by the previous two opponents 49-6 in a pair of losses. The return of QB J.J. McCarthy fully transforming the offense paints a picture of a much brighter future for the Vikings.

Giants Once Again Staring Down #1 Pick
At 2-12, the Giants find themselves in a similar position to last year. Losing out on the top pick then may have worked out as QB Jaxson Dart continues to impress, but doing the same this year isn't as advisable. New York could benefit greatly in their rebuild by trading down a few spots from #1, rather than giving them up for nothing in a few meaningless wins. Still, interim coach Mike Kafka will be gunning for a win.

Vikings vs Giants NFL Pick
While both of these teams are eliminated already, they aren't exactly moving in the same direction. Minnesota could benefit greatly from continuing to establish a winning culture with J.J. McCarthy and ending up around the .500 mark. Meanwhile, the Giants are staring at 5-12 as their best outcome. They'll still keep this one close with Dart also needing meaningful reps, but the Vikings should win and cover.
