Chiefs Shift Focus to Offseason

The Chiefs had a worst-case scenario outcome in their rivalry bout with the Chargers on Sunday. Not only did they lose, eliminating them from postseason contention for the first time in ten years, but Patrick Mahomes suffered a torn ACL late in the game. This injury is severe enough to affect his ability to play in the 2025-26 NFL season. With their streak now broken, the Chiefs will focus on filling holes this offseason.

Cam Ward Seeks Win over Fellow Alum

Rookie QB Cam Ward continued to show signs of improvement on Sunday, posting a 101.2 passer rating against a capable 49ers defense on the road. Unfortunately, Tennessee's own defense kept them out of the game. The former two-year Washington State QB will look to take another step forward against Gardner Minshew and the Chiefs. His ball security as a rookie in a bad situation has been very impressive.

With Patrick Mahomes out and the Chiefs now eliminated, the spread for this game is much smaller than it would have been two weeks ago. The Titans may be at home for this one, but they'll still face an uphill battle against the Chiefs. Their roster is significantly less developed than Kansas City's, which will make a major difference regardless of the Chiefs' QB. Take the Chiefs to earn the win in a low-scoring matchup.
