The excitement levels ahead of the third major of the golf season are reaching their climax, with the 2025 U.S. Open getting underway on Thursday.

Scottie Scheffler will be a red-hot favorite to build on his dominant performances this season, having already won the PGA Championship.

However, there could be value in the top ten finish odds at Oakmont Country Club. Find the odds and our picks here.

Leading Top Ten Contenders at the U.S. Open

Aside from the top selections in the outright betting, there could be value when making top ten picks at the U.S. Open this weekend. Some of our main fancies for the market can be found below.

Xander Schauffele (+250)

One of our strongest U.S. Open top ten picks comes in the form of Xander Schauffele. The American boasts an excellent record at the third major on the calendar, having achieved top ten finishes in seven of his eight appearances.

That includes a finish in a tie for seventh in 2024. He comes into this weekend in excellent form, and he could be one of our strongest fancies of the weekend.

Shane Lowry (+325)

Shane Lowry is too big of a price to ignore in the top ten betting this weekend. The Irishman finished in a tie for second on the previous occasion that Oakmont hosted the U.S. Open, and he has made the cut in five of the last six majors.

A big win looks to be on the cards for Lowry this season, as he has been ultra consistent on the PGA Tour in 2025. That includes a share of 13th at last weekend’s Canadian Open.

Patrick Reed (+700)

Patrick Reed is also an eye-catching selection at the prices this weekend. The American finished third at The Masters in April, before failing to make the cut at the PGA Championship.

He has also made the cut on his last seven appearances at the U.S. Open, with his best showing coming when finishing fourth in 2018.
