Nyara Sabally scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Kiki Rice added 16 points, five rebounds, and three assists, powering a unit that featured five players who reached double figures.
Golden State determined to sweep the two-game set
The Valkyries had dropped two straight following a nine-game win streak. However, they bounced back with a resounding 17-point victory over Toronto on Sunday night.
Golden State had difficulty creating meaningful separation, leading by just six points after three quarters. But the Valkyries flipped the narrative in the final frame, outscoring Toronto by a decisive 29-18 margin to close out the win.
Janelle Salaun delivered a 24-point outing and made four of her nine 3-point attempts. Veronica Burton finished with 17 points and six assists, contributing to an offense that shot 49 percent overall and 48 percent from 3-point territory.
