Washington looks to recover from a poor showing against the Valkyries
The Mystics have won two of their last three games following a two-game skid. Unfortunately, their recent outing was a 62-49 setback against the Golden State Valkyries.

Washington kept it close early and led by two after the opening quarter. Unfortunately, things went south after that, as the Mystics were outscored by a sizeable 31-16 margin in the second half.
Kiki Iriafen was one of two players in double figures. She finished with a team-high 12 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Shakira Austin contributed a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Storm hope to avoid their fourth loss in five games
After securing back-to-back wins, Seattle has dropped three of its last four games. The team's latest misstep was an 89-78 setback against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday night.
The Storm didn't put up much of a fight. Seattle trailed by 20 points midway through the third quarter, and Atlanta maintained at least an eight-point cushion down the stretch.
Natisha Hiedeman led three double‑digit scorers with 20 points, five rebounds, and three assists, while Dominique Malonga added 15 points and nine boards. But poor 3‑point shooting (15 percent) and 16 turnovers leading to 28 Atlanta points ultimately negated the solid individual efforts.
Mystics vs Storm WNBA Pick
Early lines indicate that Washington is a slight 4.5-point favorite. Here's what you need to know for both teams ahead of this Sunday afternoon tilt.
- The Mystics are 2-3 (SU) in their previous five games.
- Washington is 5-5 ATS in its last 10 outings against Phoenix.
- The Storm are 2-3 (SU) in their previous five contests.
- Seattle is 6-4 ATS in its last 10 matchups.
The Mystics have compiled a 3-2 record in their last five home games. On the other side, Seattle has been less reliable away from home, winning only one of its previous five outings. Combining these trends with the fact that Washington has taken three of the last five head-to-head meetings, siding with the home team is the safe play here.
