Another damaging loss was inflicted against Atlanta United last weekend, which was also the fourth time in five that they had conceded at least two goals in a match. It is worth noting that they have performed slightly better at home this season, with just five of their 14 defeats being suffered at Children’s Mercy Park.

The Vancouver Whitecaps could move five points clear at the top of the Western Conference standings this weekend. Vancouver have bounced back to their best form in recent weeks, avoiding defeat in four of their last five after losing two of their previous three.

A dazzling offensive performance was delivered at home last time out, as they hammered FC Dallas 5-0 at BC Place. That victory means that they have now scored seven goals in their previous three outings. Brian White was the standout performer in that win, netting twice to take his tally for the season to 12.
