An all-European clash is set for the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup in Miami, as England take on Norway.

Confidence will be oozing through both camps after historic wins on Sunday, but the dream of sporting immortality will only continue for one nation this weekend, as a place in the semi-finals is up for grabs.

Norway Enjoying Best-Ever World Cup Run

History has already been made this summer by Stale Solbakken's Norway, as they are enjoying their deepest ever run at the World Cup.

The Vikings produced one of their greatest ever displays on Sunday evening, maintaining their unbeaten record against Brazil with a 2-1 victory. Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland was at the heart of their success, with the striker netting both goals in the win.

Haaland has now scored seven goals in four appearances at the tournament, marking one of the best-ever debut showings at the competition.

Three Lions Overcome Co-Hosts in Thriller

Thomas Tuchel has made no secret that his main target is to put a second star on the England shirt. Performance levels have been mixed to this point, but the Three Lions will be high on confidence after overcoming a massive challenge in the round of 16.

England needed to battle high altitude and the burden of history against Mexico, but they rose to that challenge to record one of the nation's greatest ever wins. Jude Bellingham showed his world-class ability, scoring twice.

However, it was England's defensive attitude that got them over the line after being forced to play almost the entirety of the second half with ten men.

Norway vs. England Picks

This is a different England under Tuchel. The Three Lions have battling qualities and a character that no previous Three Lions side has possessed. There is a sense that England are growing into the competition, and a win on Saturday would set up a date with destiny in the semi-finals.
