It is easy to argue that the World Cup came at a good time for the New England Revolution following a run of two defeats in three.
Since returning to action, they have avoided defeat in their last three fixtures, with a recent road draw coming against Montreal on Saturday. They have rediscovered their attacking quality in recent encounters, scoring six goals in their previous two.
The Revs have been reliable at Gillette Stadium throughout the season, winning 80% of their clashes and scoring an impressive 2.1 goals per game. However, their defensive weakness should also be noted, as they have allowed an average of 1.24 efforts per fixture.

The Houston Dynamo have climbed to fourth in the Western Conference standings after a positive run of results in the MLS.
They come into Saturday’s clash after avoiding defeat in their previous five, which includes back-to-back wins against Austin FC and Sporting KC in their previous two.
Their defensive strength has improved in recent outings, keeping clean sheets in both recent wins, and allowing no more than one goal in each of their last five. A slight concern would be Houston’s record on the road, as they have won just three of their eight on their travels in 2026.
The away win could be the value play based on the recent form of these two sides. It is also notable that the Dynamo have avoided defeat in their last three against New England, winning twice over that period.
