England Dreaming of Historic Success

Thomas Tuchel's target when being appointed as England's manager was a simple one: put a second star on the shirt.

The German is potentially two games away from achieving that feat, and despite being yet to hit top gear at the World Cup, England's character looks incredibly strong. The Three Lions have been forced to fight in the last two rounds, beating Norway after extra-time in their quarterfinal on Saturday.

Jude Bellingham has been a standout star when the pressure has been at its greatest, scoring four goals in the last two rounds. Harry Kane has also been in excellent form throughout the tournament, scoring six in as many appearances.

Argentina Chasing Second Straight Final

Argentina are aiming to join the plethora of greats this summer by becoming just the third nation to win the World Cup in successive editions.

The South American nation have won all six of their fixtures this summer, but they have been forced into extra-time in two of their previous three. Argentina benefited from a red card for Swiss player Breel Embolo in Saturday's quarterfinal win, with Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez scoring the crucial efforts in the additional 30 minutes.

Lionel Messi has been a standout star during the tournament, racking up an impressive ten goal involvements in six appearances.

England vs. Argentina Picks

England have won their last two head-to-heads against Argentina, which included a 1-0 success at the 2002 World Cup. Their ability to get over the line despite not being at their best could be crucial on Wednesday, and due to that, we could foresee the Three Lions making history.
