The Colorado Rapids have dropped to 13th in the Western Conference standings following a poor run of results, but Saturday represents an opportunity to bounce back.
The Rapids have suffered defeats in three of their last four, with their only victory over that period coming at home against San Diego FC.
Scoring goals has been a challenge for the Rapids throughout the season, as they haven’t scored more than once in their previous nine. Rafael Navarro Leal will be the key man in the final third, as he leads the team with eight goals.

Austin FC have also struggled in the MLS this season, as they have suffered defeat in four of their previous five. Most concerning would be the fact that two of their last three losses have come via 3-0 scorelines.
In fact, they have failed to score in three of their last five MLS fixtures. It is challenging to foresee them reversing their recent poor form based on their weakness on the road, as Austin have suffered six defeats in ten on their travels.
Defensive vulnerability has been at the heart of their struggles, allowing 3.11 goals per 90 in their away fixtures.
Colorado have avoided defeat in four of their last six head-to-heads against Austin. Based on Austin’s poor record on the road, we could foresee them failing to win for the eleventh time on their travels this Saturday, with the Rapids recording a much-needed win.
