Two sides that sit at opposite ends of the respective NHL conferences will collide on Dec 2, as the NY Rangers host the Dallas Stars.
It has been a miserable start to the campaign for the Rangers, as they sit bottom of the Metropolitan Division, but they still have a winning overall record, having gone 13-12-2.
Meanwhile, the Stars will be hoping to cut the difference between themselves and the Avalanche at the top of the Central Division with a fifth straight win.

The NY Rangers have endured a miserable regular season campaign to this point, as they sit bottom of the Metropolitan Division.
They have gone 13-12-2 in the NHL this season, and their inconsistency has been reflected across their last ten after going 5-5-0.
The Rangers will be looking to quickly respond following a heavy defeat in their latest outing after going down 4-1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. J. T. Miller scored their only goal in the heavy loss.

It has been a fine start to the new season for the Dallas Stars, and they have already emerged as one of the outstanding teams in the Western Conference.
They have won 17 of their 26 games, and they come into this round having won eight of their last ten. Furthermore, the Stars have registered wins in each of their last four games in the NHL.
The Stars were excellent in their latest outing, as Wyatt Johnston scored three in a 6-1 home success against the Ottawa Senators.
