Toronto have endured a frustrating start to the campaign, and they currently sit seventh in the Atlantic Division. The Maple Leafs have suffered defeats in each of their last three games.
The LA Kings come into this road game in contrasting form after winning their previous two. But, can they record a third successive victory?
Huge questions are already being asked of the Toronto Maple Leafs at this early stage of the season.
The Maple Leafs sit second bottom in the Atlantic Division standings, and they have gone 8-8-1 across their opening 17 games.
Their lack of consistency has been reflected in their recent outings after suffering defeats in each of their last three games. Last time out, they were easily beaten 5-3 on the road by the Boston Bruins.
The LA Kings have made an excellent start to the season, currently sitting second in the Pacific Division standings.
They have gone 8-5-4 across their opening 17 games, and they are just three points behind the Anaheim Ducks. The Kings have excelled in recent weeks, winning six of their last ten, which includes victories in each of their previous two.
They were last in action registering a 5-1 road success over the Montreal Canadiens. Joel Edmundson and Quinton Byfield were among the scorers in the win.
