The Colorado Avalanche's long winning sequence was ended on Friday, but they will have home advantage on Saturday, as they bid to bounce back to form.
Meanwhile, the Canadiens come into this round in excellent recent form, winning each of their last three.

There have been few more eye-catching teams in the NHL so far this season than the Colorado Avalanche.
Colorado sit top of the Central Division standings, winning nine of their last ten. However, they will be looking to pick themselves up on Saturday following a shootout loss against the Minnesota Wild on Friday.
Nathan MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog scored the goals in the defeat. However, there would be few surprises to see them bounce back on Saturday.

The Montreal Canadiens will likely come into this clash in good confidence after winning 13 of their 23 regular season games in 2025-26.
The Habs have also won four of their last ten, with their best form coming over the last seven days after winning each of their previous three.
Their excellent form continued on Friday, beating the Vegas Golden Knights 4-1. Cole Caufield, Zachary Bolduc, and Juraj Slafkovsky scored goals in the recent success.
