The Panthers and Falcons face off this week in a divisional clash. Atlanta is seeking revenge after their brutal defeat to the Panthers back in September, but faces a tough challenge, even at home.

The Panthers have been one of the toughest teams to pin down all season. As the league's only .500 squad, the Carolina team that takes the field seems to be different each week. Just days after beating the Packers in Green Bay, the Panthers lost at home to the 1-8 Saints. In the last four weeks, Carolina has scored just 45 total points, averaging a little over 11 ppg. Bryce Young continues to be a disappointment.

Atlanta started the season 3-2, finally appearing to be moving in the right direction with their new-look offense. Unfortunately, they've lost four games in a row since. Both sides of the ball have looked sluggish for the Falcons over the past month, though the defense has been particularly disappointing. Finally with a QB capable of hitting Drake London and Kyle Pitts, they need better from their defense to end this skid.

It's pretty unlikely that the Panthers 30-0 thumping of the Falcons from Week 3 is repeated in this game. That being said, I'm not sure Atlanta's home-field advantage is enough to warrant them being favored against a team they recently loss so badly to. Carolina is enormously inconsistent, but their capable run game and defense provide huge advantages over the struggling Falcons. Take the Panthers in this one.
