The Chargers and Jaguars meet this week in a clash between playoff hopefuls. Their last meeting was a postseason game that Jacksonville won, but they enter this one as the underdog at home.

The Chargers continued their impressive season on Sunday, easily dispatching the Steelers to climb to 7-3. They remain a game behind the Broncos in the AFC West, but are steadily pushing for the top spot. The imminent return of rookie RB Omarion Hampton will also provide an eventual boost to the offense, though he is expected to remain out this week. Look for Justin Herbert to have another big game here.

The Jaguars led the Texans 29-10 in the 4th quarter last week, before collapsing down the stretch. They allowed 26 unanswered points to backup QB Davis Mills, eventually losing and falling to 5-4. Jacksonville has held a Wild Card spot for several weeks now, but is in danger of losing it if they cannot bounce back this week. The health of WR Brian Thomas Jr. will be a crucial factor in their chances of winning this one.

The Jaguars have beaten some good teams this season and hold the home-field advantage in this game, giving them a chance of winning here. That being said, they have been inconsistent on both sides of the ball. Their collapse last week may drag on into the start of this game, in which case the Chargers will be at a major advantage. Either way, Los Angeles is the more complete team and should win on the road here.
