  • The Warriors are 39-28 and have the second-best record in the Pacific Division.
  • Denver is 43-25 and has the second-best record in the Northwest Division.
  • These teams last played on Dec. 3, with the Nuggets claiming a 129-115 victory.

One of the games on Monday’s NBA slate features the Golden State Warriors hosting the Denver Nuggets. Can Golden extend its winning streak to eight games in our Warriors vs Nuggets pick?

Warriors Aiming For Eighth Straight Victory

The Warriors have won seven straight games following a 126-119 setback against the Philadelphia 76ers on Mar. 1. This stretch includes a 97-94 win over the New York Knicks on Saturday night.

Stephen Curry led the way with 28 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, connecting on five of his 13 attempts from beyond the arc.

Moses Moody added 18 points on 7-for-14 shooting overall and 4-for-8 from 3-point range. Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler III contributed 11 points, six rebounds, and seven assists.

With the game’s outcome still in doubt, the Warriors led by four points in the waning moments of this back-and-forth contest.

Draymond Green beat Knicks big man Karl-Anthony Towns off the dribble and converted a layup that put Golden State up by six points with 25.8 seconds left.

Nuggets Look To Bounce Back From Disappointing Loss Against Washington

After notching a 131-126 win against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Nuggets lost to the Washington Wizards 126-123 on Saturday.

Nikola Jokic added another impressive performance to his resume. He finished with a game-high 40 points, along with 13 rebounds and nine assists. The reigning MVP also had two blocked shots.

Jamal Murray finished with 24 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and four steals. Michael Porter Jr. scored 20 points and collected 11 rebounds.

After the opening quarter, the Denver Nuggets led 44-30. However, Washington clawed its way back, and the game was tied in the closing moments.

Jamal Murray’s jumper tied the game at 123 with 5.1 seconds left. But the Wizards would get the last word, as Jordan Poole knocked down a 3-pointer, and Washington held on to win the game.

Warriors vs Nuggets Pick: Denver Remains Dominant Against Golden State

The Warriors are a ridiculous 14-2 since acquiring Jimmy Butler III, who made his debut with the team on Feb. 8. Golden State is ranked 16th in scoring but is a top-10 squad from a defensive standpoint.

On the other side of this matchup, the Nuggets have split their previous 10 contests. The bad news is that Denver has the eighth-worst defensive rating. On the flip side, the Nuggets are third in scoring (121.2 PPG) and have the second-highest offensive rating (120.2 Points Per 100 Possessions).

Make no mistake, Golden State is playing some good basketball right now. At the same time, the Nuggets have won eight straight games in this series. Given that trend, look for the Nuggets to halt the Warriors’ seven-game win streak.
