The reigning MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, paced the offense with 31 points, seven assists, and three rebounds. Isaiah Joe, who missed the team's first five games of the season, led the second unit with 20 pionts and six boards in 24 minutes of action.

The Pelicans are winless through their first five games, but they put forth a respectable effort in their recent outing against the Los Angeles Clippers.
New Orleans rallied from a 17-point deficit and the game was tied in the closing moments. Unfortunately, Kawhi Leonard hit the game-winning bucket as the game clock expired to help LA escape with a two-point victory.
