Event Preview
One of the most exciting races on the F1 schedule is set for July 19, as Spa-Francorchamps hosts the Belgian Grand Prix. This race was first staged in 1925, and the drivers will complete 44 laps of the 7.004-km track in a fight to the chequered flag.
A mixed weekend in Britain for Kimi Antonelli saw the Italian win the Sprint Race, before issues with his car saw him drop back through the pack to finish 15th in the Grand Prix. His misery was compounded with George Russell finishing second to close the gap at the top of the Drivers’ Championship to 25 points.
It was another strong weekend on track for Ferrari, with Lewis Hamilton taking second in the Sprint and third in the Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc was celebrating on the Sunday, landing a first win for over two years. Hamilton has now achieved podium finishes in four of the last five rounds.
A frustrating weekend for Red Bull saw Max Verstappen crash out in the race, marking his third retirement of the season. Oscar Piastri also endured a challenging weekend, finishing outside of the points for the second time in five rounds.
Belgian Grand Prix Picks
This should be another straight fight between Ferrari and Mercedes. However, it could be a perfect opportunity for Antonelli to fight back to winning ways after finishing outside the points in two of the previous three rounds.
