There is important action at both ends of the Premier League standings on Saturday, as relegation-threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Liverpool to the Black Country. The visitors will be looking to end a three-game winless run, while the hosts will be hoping to pick up a second win in three.

Before Betting On Wolves vs Liverpool

For the second time in just a few weeks, Liverpool will travel to the Black Country to take on Wolves. The two sides previously clashed in an FA Cup replay, with the Reds picking up a 1-0 win. However, that remains their only win in their previous five matches in all competitions. Jurgen Klopp will be aware that the club appear to be in a dire position at present, as a Champions League finish remains extremely unlikely.

Liverpool currently sit ninth in the standings, and are ten points adrift of the top four places in the Premier League. Meanwhile, the Reds could end this weekend in the bottom half of the standings. Their recent form has been poor, as they have gone three without a victory, losing twice over that period.

There will also be pressure on Wolves this weekend, as they sit just outside the relegation places courtesy of their superior goal difference over Bournemouth. However, wins have been slightly more regular for the hosts this weekend, as they have won once in their previous three, and have lost just once over that period.

However, in all competitions, Wolves have lost their previous two games. The most recent of those was a 3-0 loss at the Etihad against Manchester City. It certainly doesn’t help their case coming into this game that they are winless in their previous nine meetings against Liverpool at Molineux in the league.

This should be a tense fixture between the two sides. However, despite the number of injuries that Liverpool are currently dealing with, we still expect them to pick up a narrow win over a Wolves side that are struggling in front of goal.
