In the National Basketball Association; a pair of Western Conference teams will get together on Wednesday as the Oklahoma City Thunder take on the Los Angeles Lakers. The Oklahoma City Thunder have won back to back games, and are now 15-7 at home this season. The Thunder are 24-20 on the season, and 5th in the Western Conference. The Thunder are 4.5 games behind both the Timberwolves and Spurs in the West.

The Los Angeles Lakers are 15-28 on the season, and have dropped to 12th in the Western Conference. The Lakers have dropped 6 out of their last 10 games overall. Los Angeles is 6-14 on the road this season. The Lakers come into this game as the underdog on the road. The Oklahoma City Thunder are -6.5 over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night in the National Basketball Association.

Thunder Looking to Stay Hot

The Oklahoma City Thunder scored 98 points per game in their last two games, but won them both. The defense was the key with 90.5 points per game allowed. The offense for the Thunder are 19th in the league with more than 104 points per game, and the defense has improved to 3rd, as they are allowing just 101 points per game.

Russell Westbrook is the defending Most Valuable Player in the league. The point guard, who was ejected from Monday’s win is scoring 25 points per game, dishing out 9.9 assists per game, and grabbing 9.8 rebounds per game. The Thunder are also getting 20.6 points per game from Paul George and 17.4 from Carmelo Anthony.

Lakers Young, but Improving

The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off a loss on the road at the Memphis Grizzlies. Before that, the Lakers won four straight games. They beat the Hawks, Kings, Spurs and Mavericks during that time. Los Angeles is scoring 106.7 points per game, while they are allowing 110 points per game.

The Lakers are getting better production out of their rookie point guard Lonzo Ball. The point guard is scoring 10.2 points per game, dishing out 7 assists per game, and ripping down 7 rebounds per game. The top scorer for the Lakers is Kyle Kuzma, another rookie. The power forward is scoring 16.8 points per game.

Thunder Top Lakers

The Oklahoma City Thunder started this season slow, but have seemingly started to heat up. The Thunder should be able to win this game over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Thunder are a team that can score points when needed with their talent around them. The Lakers are not ready to beat the Thunder in this game.
