We didn’t really expect to see the top of the Western Conference littered with the likes of Portland and Utah so far on this young season, but most people assume it’s only a matter of time before 4th place Phoenix and 11th place Golden State start making their climb up the standings. That starts on Wednesday night in the Warriors vs Suns meeting from the Footprint Center.

Before Betting on Warriors vs Suns

It’s crazy that nearly a month into the season Golden State is still looking for their first road victory (0-7). One of those losses away from the Bay came on October 25th when the Suns absolutely dominated GS 134-105 when Phoenix was just a 1.5 favorite.

Since that previous loss to the Suns Golden State has posted a 5-game losing streak, but they’ve also won three of their last four coming into Wednesday night’s matchup. Most recently the Warriors throttle the Spurs 132-95 on Monday with Jordan Poole erupting for 36 points in 29 minutes. Klay Thompson sat out that game as Golden State was playing on the back to back but he’s probable for Phoenix.

It’s still very early in the year, but a second blowout win over Golden State would set a nice tone for the Suns later on in the Spring as the playoffs approach. Phoenix has their own issues though losing three of their last four including a 14-point loss at Philadelphia and losing by 17 in Orlando. The Suns 1-3 record over their last four were all road games, and now they’re back home where they are 5-1 on the season.

Warriors vs Suns Prediction & Pick

This line almost looks like a trap with the Suns just a -1 point favorite where they are 5-1 at home and with Golden State still not getting a road win this season. That’s especially true after the Suns won by 29 in the first meeting so when it looks too easy you have to go the other way.
Pick: Warriors +1
